"It Not Yet War" Thai–Cambodian Border Clash

The OIC (Office of Insurance Commission) issued guidelines for handling insurance claims related to recent clashes along the Thai–Cambodian border.

It advised insurers to promptly assess damages and coordinate with reinsurers for clear policy interpretation, noting that the incident does not fall under the “war” exclusion in standard policies.

If other exclusions apply, companies should consider offering ex gratia payments, with the OIC ready to mediate.
